PC Fútbol style kits (full 21-kit template set)
Back in the 90s there was a Spanish football game called "PC Fútbol" that eventually became the most successful saga ever made in the country, exporting to countries such as Italy where it was called "PC Calcio" or Argentina ("PC Apertura", "PC Clausura"). The games also included an outstanding database covering the country it was targeted to, with screenshots like these:
And everybody loved that. So I decided to rescue that kit style and make templates for YSoccer.
Download PC Fútbol style kits here
Includes the 21 styles YSoccer has sprites for. Just overwrite the kits from /images/kit with the ones included in the ZIP file. Or do whatever you want with them, I take no liability from wrong use
If you have comments or suggestions just reply to this thread, I check the forum from time to time.
Cheers!

I'm very glad to know that the project is actually alive and although I find really hard to control the game with the keyboard (maybe I'm a horrible player) I'm looking forward to play with a complete engine that includes proper tackles, headings, bicycle kicks, fouls and injuries. What is there is going in the right direction. The GUI improvements are a remarkable progress and I love the team editor because I'm always wondering what kind of databases or customizations could I make. The transition to JSON format has been a smart move and I'm sure it will help editors in the future. These are the features I check the most because sometimes I just want to play a quick match and forget about competitions.Massimo32 wrote:What's your feeling about YSoccer16?stage7 wrote:Thank you Massimo, always a pleasure to help with the project
On a more technical note I find it harder to compile the game being a Java project instead of a C one but I'm not a guy used to compile things so it could be my fault. The game runs smooth so in the end I don't care about the language.
I think the game has a great potential and that it is a pity that it is not your full-time job because I would love to have an ultimate open-source SWOS clone and be a small part of it Definitely having the chance of tuning its look-and-feel is something I love.
My gratitude goes to the YSoccer team. Keep up the good work!

I'm using them on my version on Fedora 27 and they work perfectly!
Can you do the same with the old J-League Kits and Hungarian kits on this database, too?
Moreover, have you thought about doing kits for these national teams, yet?
Spain (I have to admit it, your 2016 away kit was great... )
Slovenia
Italy (I report the previous tense for our 2016 away kit, too... )
Also, would making a new checkered kit for teams like Croatia be difficult? If not, I suggest you to make it...

I've seen there's already a kit like this on default in the game.Oltrepier wrote:Also, would making a new checkered kit for teams like Croatia be difficult? If not, I suggest you to make it...
Sorry everyone...

Re: PC Fútbol style kits (full 21-kit template set)
Hi Oltrepier,
I'm so happy to know that these kits are being useful for somebody About your suggestions: it wouldn't be hard for me to create new graphics for the editor like those I posted in the screenshots (although that Slovenia pattern is tricky...) but if you want to show all those tiny details you should take into account that new in-game sprites would need to be created to properly show these new kits, because the graphics are not related at all. I started writing a script to map a plain bitmap to all the sprites in the game, but mapping every single pixel in the sprite sheet is time-consuming as hell and so far I've made just a bunch of them. They look cool but I wish there was a faster way to accomplish this.
I think I could remake the Japanese kits I made but many years have passed since they were used so they are a bit outdated now... It would be better to create more current kits unless you are going to create classic teams, isn't it?
Regards.

Yes, I agree.stage7 wrote:Hi Oltrepier,

I admit I wasn't thinking about the transport of the kits in the in-game sprites...
However, thank you for your kindness and your hard work for the game!

These kits work perfectly on the 2019 version, too!
