Yoda with network support: is it possible?

Post by pfeito »

I wonder, a great game like this... will it ever have network support (internet or at least lan gaming)?

I heard something about the reason that the original swos never had network gaming. They said that the interactiviy of the game (in the sense of updating players positions calculating trajectories, ...) is so great that a network support would be slow and bursty....
Well, that might be in the days where we had 386, but look at games that we have today, like Doom 3 and others, they are much more demanding in terms of communication latency and other stuff, and still they are out there and work great.

The question is:
- are you thinking of adding network gamming later on ?

Congratulations!! I've played the 0.70 version a couple of times and I think you have made a fantastic work so far.

If this game could be played by networking.

It would be the final touch to turn this game perfect

CONGRATULATIONS!

Yes, we're thinking about it but it'll require some time.
