Beta 0.71 preview

Post by Massimo32 »

Download:

http://mio.discoremoto.virgilio.it/yodasoccer

Notes:
- almost no new features, it's the beta 0.70 but in blitzmax
- only menus works (no match!)
- should be faster (no slowdown in editor)
- various bug fixes
- mouse is disabled by default
- 'c' is the default fire key 1 (instead of Left Ctrl)

I'm translating the game from blitzbasic to blitzmax, 2/3 is done and I hope to finish in 10-15 days.

Ciao!

It's a preview, only for testing purpose, I suggest you to extract it in a different directory.

The 0.71 is a transition from the old blitzbasic to blitzmax.
No transition is easy and straight, so this beta is mainly for testing purpose.
It makes no sense to add new features now, except for small things and bug fixes of course.

All new features are on hold, if everything goes well with 0.71 then we'll continue the development in the following beta.

Yep, the editor now runs very smoother. Anyway there is no more the possibility to switch from fullscreen to window mode, so actually this is not very useful for editing while consulting sites to obtain informations..
Anyway good job, we'll waiting for next version with calm ;)

Yes, it's temporary locked... windowed mode is still not properly supported in blitzmax, but should be available in the future, meanwhile you may... use two monitors ;)

Massimo,

Is it possible to have the blitzmax source too, or do I need to wait 10-15 days (until 0.71 is finished)?
